How to set up SMTP AUTH
This is a simple "how to." This is for anyone out there who has ever wanted to simply add authentication to sendmail. All this page will do is show you one way to configure sendmail and Cyrus SASL libraries to set up a mail server that requires client authentication to send e-mail. This is not a detailed tutorial of either sendmail nor Cyrus SASL. For more detailed sendmail help, I strongly recommend going to the Official Sendmail Website or the comp.mail.sendmail newsgroup.
